Meet Semesha Corea of EDGE Media Centre a Media company located in the beautiful island of St.Vincent & the Grenadines…
Entrepreneur, Goodwill Ambassador Semesha Corea hailing out of Roseau, Sion Hill Kingstown.
We believe everyone sees her height but many also can’t help but notice her very focused and quiet demeanor for a young lady, in 2016; “We Salute” the invaluable contribution of Semesha Corea who was attached at Constructive Solutions Inc. a social enterprise from the Y.E.S program (March 2015 – March 2016) an initiative of the Ministry of National Mobilization, Youth and Community Development which is administered by the Youth Affairs Department SVG.
Semesha is very passionate about her pets especially “Mylo” her kitten also health, nutrition and of course her natural hair. A young woman on the rise; an avid lover & player of basketball, very creative with her hands from her school and college years at St. Joseph Convent Kingstown and SVG Community College respectively.
Semesha says her passion for entrepreneurship kick-started as she made handicraft and accessory items inclusive bow ties and hair pieces for females topped with fashion jewelry in College.
She also developed the love for digital media through always being seen videotaping special occasions at school, home or in the community groups she volunteered which includes The Caribbean Youth Environment Network (SVG Chapter) where she holds the portfolio of Former National Coordinator.
C.S. Inc and Semesha have collaborated and benefited tremendously from their one-year attachment where she managed the portfolio of Projects Coordinator and as a result, she has recently been appointed an interim Director in 2016.
Semesha being a graduate of the entrepreneurship program of SVGCC decided from inception one of her goals was to create a start-up business a dream she had close to her heart for some years.
EDGE started in the late month of September 2015 legally registered in beautiful; Caribbean island St Vincent and the Grenadines by young female Entrepreneur Semesha Corea at the age of 21. After her love for Videography and Photography growing up as a child. Through teachings upon teachings, she sought out to develop her hobby and turn it into a business taking a whole different step.
EDGE Media Centre is a digital company which deals with providing quality Designs, Video Documentaries, and Photography. A company that is driven to provide our customers with the opportunity to preserve their cherished moments, provide quality promotional material for businesses to be able to stand out among others as well as to provide quality Monitoring and evaluation for local regional and international projects such as the CCIC and the World Bank Green Tech Bootcamp, E-waste Management and Disposal Project with the Global Environment Fund and the United Nation among other projects. EDGE takes Videography, Photography, and Graphic design to create a product that connects with all that come across it.
Through consultation and mentor-ship from Constructive Solutions Inc. EDGE began to bloom from an idea into a fully operational business within the space of 6 months young Semesha’s 1-year internship at the Non-Profit Organization. Being a part of this internship EDGE’s Founder was privileged to attend the First ever Caribbean Entrepreneurship Challenge held in Barbados In May 2015, and also the COESL 8th Annual Entrepreneurship Conference 2015 held in October for Global Entrepreneurship Week in collaboration with the United Nation, Where EDGE took away the Award of Best Product in Cultural Industries and Services. As well as she was able to create mini shows on the EDGE youtube page such as Carib Review where she highlights films made by blooming Caribbean filmmakers and We salute where she highlights entrepreneurs in a joint venture with CSInc.
“There is always something more to learn so this year EDGE is currently a part of The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women Mentorship Program which is a global organization. More women are needed in the field of media and I would like to be a part of the drive in that direction.”

We would like to also develop the media industry in St Vincent by capitalizing on the growing interest in youths in media as a sustainable way out of the current economic situation” Semesha states.
Over the past two years edge has been able to collaborate with a number of different organizations both local and regional including Saint Productions Inc. in Trinidad, Caribbean Climate Innovation Centre Jamaica through CSINC, Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods (CoESL), Richmond Vale Academy St Vincent and the Grenadines, and more and she is just getting started there is so much more to come.
